Sulina old lighthouse - ROM 020

During YP1WFF radio expedition in Danube Delta there was four lighthouses activated. The number code for Sulina old lighthouse is ROM - 020.
Construction was established by the Danube Comission, "The public act of navigation on the Danube" issued on 2 november 1865 in Galati and completed in 1870. Lighthouse located in present days at 2.5 km from the sea is now museum.

    With a height of 17m, Sulina lighthouse is a symbol of the city, also hosting the working office of Eugeniu Botez, known after the pen name of Jean Bart author of famous book Europolis.

YP1WFF - YOFF 021

YP1WFF - Danube Delta biosphere

    Between 23 to 29 june 2010 a hamradio team activated the special callsign YP1WFF from a ship crossing all three arms of Danube river who compose the magnific wild Danube Delta. The most of time it was used YP1WFF/MM and also there was activated four lighthouses from the Black sea:

• ROM 007 - Sf. Gheorghe
• ROM 008 - Sulina
• ROM 018 - Sulina
• ROM 020 - Old LH in Sulina

  The team was composed of YO3JW - Pit and YO9GJX - Florian and were made a lot of qso's with radio amateurs around the world.

Neamtu

Vârful Neamtu

Muntii Baiului, vecinii de peste drum ai Bucegilor mai sunt numiti si muntii Gârbova, sunt munti cu pante line, lipsiti de creste si prãpãstii spectaculoase. Cel mai înalt vârf este Neamtu cu o altitudine de 1923m.
